Intro. y trad. The Bridges. Fayad Jamís. Cambridge: Salt P, 2011.
Available for the first time in English, The Bridges by Fayad Jamís (1930-1988) is unanimously considered one of Cuban poetry's most stunning and engaging books. The collection, written in Paris in between 1956 and 1957, and published in Havana in 1962, offers a brilliant representation of the intellectual and his position before colonialism by one of the great Cuban artists of the twentieth century.
